MEET STERLING

Meet Sterling! This handsome guy is only a year old, and is still very much a puppy. When he came to rescue, he wasn’t used to living inside and was very timid with new things. He has come such a long way in his foster home and is ready to be adopted into a home that can continue to help him discover the world.

Sterling needs patience and more obedience training. He is still learning manners. He’s housebroken and mostly crate trained. He walks pretty well on a leash and just pulls a little. He loves treats and is highly food motivated. He’s just still a little nervous and skittish of new sounds and visuals, and his new family will need to be able to encourage him and give him the time he needs to develop confidence. He has learned to have his nails trimmed with the Dremmel, so that’s a big step!

His foster mom says he sticks close to her but enjoys playing with her other dogs if they are outside. We believe he would do best in a home with another dog who is confident and could help him come out of his shell even more. He would also like to live with a family where someone is home at least some of the day. At this time, he does take CBD and hemp treats to help him relax a little. Remember, everything is new to Sterling. He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines.
