MEET JUNIE
ADOPTED!
Meet Junie! This special girl is two years old and was surrendered to a shelter who knew right away that they needed to reach out to rescue. Our vet believes that Junie has a congenital deformity in her back legs that cause her feet to splay to the sides. Junie doesn’t realize this, however, so she walks and runs and is as sweet and happy as can be. The only thing she can’t do is jump (which some people don’t consider a disability at all). Her x-rays show that she does not have hip dysplasia or any healed fractures, which is great news. She is heartworm negative and perfectly healthy.
Junie was kept outside as a kennel dog, but she has learned house training very quickly. She wants to be inside with her people. She is also learning to go into a crate when her people leave, and she settles nicely after a few minutes. She’s still getting used to new things. She is a petite girl, but she was very thin when the shelter got her. She’s been putting on weight and muscle, but she still has a way to go to
be a healthy weight.
She has a very nice energy level and a strong desire to please. She gets along with other dogs and enjoys playing with dogs that aren’t too rough. She would love to go to obedience training and keep learning new things. Her foster mom says that she doesn’t show much interest in birds but loves to chase butterflies. She also loves to play with stuffies.
Junie will be spayed in late September and ready for her forever home. She absolutely deserves a family that loves her the way she is. Her adoption fee is $475.
